Primary Care Surveyors

Victoria Medical Centre

By 2021, the four Eastbourne practices—Green Street, Enys Road, and Bolton Road surgeries—had outgrown their existing premises. After more than 15 years of planning, a new purpose-built, three-storey medical centre was developed to bring these practices together under one roof, providing a modern healthcare hub for the local community.

Primary Care Surveyors represented the practices throughout the project, negotiating the terms of the lease and acting as monitoring surveyor. Our role included overseeing the build, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring that bespoke finishes met the specific requirements of the partners—all while navigating the additional challenges posed by the pandemic.

Project Overview

As trusted advisors, we worked closely with the design and delivery team to ensure the building reflected innovation at every level. The result was a state-of-the-art medical centre that opened on 9 August 2021, providing patients with access to both NHS and private healthcare services in one integrated setting.

The Centre incorporates modern facilities, including an onsite pharmacy, private diagnostics suite, electronic monitoring for care home residents, and an outsourced call centre. It also features an open-plan hot-desking area for clinicians, fostering collaboration, mentoring, and efficient team working. Outpatient services are embedded within the building, giving patients quicker access to consultants.
